ADG Jiu-Jitsu on Almaville Rd in Smyrna, Tennessee runs gi and no-gi classes for adults, Little Samurai (5-7) and Junior Samurai (8-13) kids programmes, a ladies-only jiu-jitsu and self-defense class and private lessons. Founder and head instructor Efraim Zeferino, born in Mexico City, trained nearly a decade under Professor Mike Westcott in the Arte Da Guerra lineage (Samuel Braga, Vinicius Magalhães, Carlos Gracie Jr) and received his black belt six months after opening the academy; he is a 2021 Pan American champion and IBJJF World Masters podium finisher. The gym outgrew its original 1,475 sq ft home within two years and now occupies over 3,500 sq ft with 1,600 sq ft of mat, a parent viewing area and a pro shop. New students get a seven-day free trial.
