The academy has been led since 2020 by head instructor and co-owner Fayyaz Akbari, a no-gi competitor who has coached men and women to podium finishes at IBJJF Europeans, Pans and Worlds, with his wife and co-owner Dani Olafson, a brown belt, running the women's program. It is one of five Profectus locations in the Nashville area, whose lineage runs Helio Gracie - Rolls Gracie - Rickson Gracie - Luiz Palhares - founder Jeremy Akin.
