About Maelstrom Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Maelstrom Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a St. Louis academy and strength training studio combining a full BJJ curriculum with striking, strength and cardio HIIT, and a wrestling class. BJJ runs beginner through advanced - fundamentals of defense, escapes and submissions first, then transitions, sweeps and takedowns - with midday classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, evening classes Monday to Friday and Saturday late mornings; Sunday class is invitation only. The gym is equipped for conditioning as well as grappling, with kettlebells, free weights, gymnastics rings, a custom obstacle course and an aqua-bag striking area, and membership is sold as an all-day pass, a twice-weekly plan or monthly unlimited.
