About The Art MMA
The Art MMA teaches mixed martial arts at 225 E Roselawn Ave in Maplewood, Minnesota, serving Maplewood, St Paul, Roseville and North St Paul. Most of its timetable is organised by belt tier - White-Gold, Green-Purple, Blue, Red, Brown, Black - alongside explicitly named classes in adult and 12+ jiu-jitsu, youth BJJ and sparring, kickboxing, and separate women's kickboxing/self-defense and women's BJJ/self-defense sessions. It is led by Jake Erling, a 5th degree black belt with over 40 years in martial arts, with 3rd degree black belt Mariela Ajpop, who has trained under him for 17 years. Students can join at any time, the first introductory class is free, and the school never requires contracts.
