Dragon Fire Martial Arts at 650 Main Street in South Portland, Maine is a Shotokan karate school that has been run by owner and master instructor Hanshi Andy Campbell since February 2000, with jiu-jitsu, kickboxing and MMA alongside the karate curriculum. Karate classes are graded by belt group from Little Samurai (3-5) through beginner, intermediate and advanced belts, with adult all-ranks classes four times a week; jiu-jitsu runs Tuesdays and Thursdays taught by Sensei Ras Hylton, and a Bo/Jo weapons class runs on Tuesdays. Eight instructors teach at the school, which fields a competition and demo team on the IPPONE, SMART and WOMAA circuits and hosts its own Spooky Spectacular tournament each October.
