IBJJF Pan No-Gi 2026 Results: Jaworski and Galvão Double Gold
Every adult black belt champion from the 2026 Pan IBJJF No-Gi Championship (October 2-4, Secaucus, NJ): Pawel Jaworski and Sarah Galvão won double gold, AOJ and Atos took the adult team titles, and the Grand Slam race heads to Rome.

Pan No-Gi 2026: The Results
Update (October 2026): The 2026 Pan IBJJF No-Gi Championship ran October 2-4, 2026 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, with more than 2,300 athletes. This guide is now a results recap: Pawel Jaworski and Sarah Galvão won double gold, and AOJ (men) and Atos (women) took the adult team titles.
The Pan No-Gi Championship is one of the biggest no-gi tournaments on the IBJJF calendar and the no-gi sibling of the gi Pan Championship. The 2026 edition -- the event's 20th -- was the second No-Gi Grand Slam event of 2026, after Brasileiro No-Gi, and it opened the fall run of no-gi majors on the US East Coast. Nineteen adult black belt divisions produced the headlines.
The Headlines
- Pawel Jaworski (Academia Gorila) won medium-heavyweight -- with a triangle choke in the final -- and the open class, taking seven wins, five by submission. It was his fifth straight Grand Slam-event title and his third Pan No-Gi gold in two appearances.
- Sarah Galvão (Atos) defended her middleweight title and won the open class 12-2 in the final: six wins, and her third Pan No-Gi gold in two appearances. Her run also carried Atos to the women's team title.
- Elijah Dorsey (Team Lloyd Irvin) won a 23-athlete middleweight bracket and finished with an armlock in the final over Tarik Hopstock, the division's reigning No-Gi world champion, who had arrived halfway to a Grand Slam of his own.
- Helena Crevar (Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu), the reigning No-Gi world champion at medium-heavyweight, won super-heavyweight with two submissions totalling about a minute of mat time -- her first black belt Pan No-Gi title.
- Natã Tenca (Atos), a rookie black belt, took super-heavyweight gold in a closeout with Atos teammate André Galvão, and Lele Manara (Lotus Club) won ultra-heavyweight with three submissions in three matches.

Martyna Kapuscinska also took open class bronze, finishing four of her six matches by submission. At brown belt, Academia Gorila's Sebastian Patyk and Gracie Barra's Lauriane Stavacz both won double gold.

What It Means for the Grand Slam Race
IBJJF counts the No-Gi Grand Slam season from the World No-Gi Championship in December through Brasileiro No-Gi and Pan No-Gi to the European No-Gi, which it calls the last No-Gi Grand Slam event of the season. Jaworski won the 2025 No-Gi Worlds and double gold at Brasileiro No-Gi before Secaucus, so he is now one gold away from what IBJJF calls the first-ever No-Gi Grand Slam title -- and he gets his shot at the European No-Gi in Rome (October 28 - November 1). Dorsey's win over Hopstock ended the other Grand Slam bid IBJJF had flagged before the event.
The Ruleset
As a no-gi event, the Pan No-Gi follows the IBJJF no-gi rules: adult brown and black belts may use heel hooks and knee reaping, while white through purple belts may not. Scoring is the same as the gi (2 for a takedown or sweep, 3 for a pass, 4 for mount or back). See our full No-Gi vs Gi rules comparison for the details that matter on competition day.
Pro Tip: Pan No-Gi opens the fall run of no-gi majors -- the European No-Gi follows about four weeks later and No-Gi Worlds in December -- so many competitors use it as a "tune-up": a chance to test their no-gi game plan and bank ranking points while there's still time to adjust before the year's final major.
Competing at Pan No-Gi Next Year
Unlike the gi Pan Championship (which requires adult black belts to hold 40 ranking points to enter) and No-Gi Worlds (which requires 30), Pan No-Gi has no ranking-points entry barrier -- competitors of every belt can register, subject to standard membership and division rules. IBJJF hasn't announced the 2027 dates yet; we track confirmed dates in our IBJJF 2027 calendar.
Pan No-Gi results count toward your IBJJF no-gi ranking. Because the Pan sits at a championship weight of 4 in the points formula, a strong result here is worth far more than a local open -- and points from this edition count toward the 30 no-gi points adult black belts need for No-Gi Worlds. Warning: Gi and no-gi rankings are completely separate. Points you earn at Pan No-Gi only count toward your no-gi ranking -- they do not help you qualify for gi events. Plan your season accordingly.
