About Impact Martial Arts Academy
Impact Martial Arts Academy has been family owned and operated in Virginia Beach, VA since 2009 and was named Gold Winner for Best Martial Arts Center in Best of Virginia Beach 2025. It runs over 35 classes a week in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Filipino Martial Arts, with kids BJJ split into Explorers (5-7) and JRS (8-12), adult classes graded All Levels, Basics and Intermediate/Advanced, and a Saturday open mat. Founder Ervin Quintin has more than 30 years across striking, grappling and weapons arts: a senior associate instructor in Jeet Kune Do Concepts and Filipino Martial Arts under Guro Dan Inosanto, a senior Muay Thai instructor under Surachai Sirisute and a certified WBC Muay Thai official, and a 2nd degree BJJ black belt and certified IBJJF referee. He founded Quintin Kali, his own Inosanto-lineage Filipino martial arts system.
