About Element Academy of Jiu-Jitsu
Element Academy of Jiu-Jitsu in Virginia Beach teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing, led by UFC veteran and third-degree BJJ black belt Mackens Semerzier. The academy is a member of the Luiz Palhares Jiu-Jitsu Association, headed by 8th-degree red-and-white belt Luiz Palhares, who was promoted to black belt in 1984 by Rickson Gracie and Helio Gracie. Programmes are split into youth BJJ (ages 5-13), adult BJJ and Thai boxing, with a free first class.
