About Richmond Traditional Martial Arts
Richmond Traditional Martial Arts (RTMA) in Mechanicsville, VA teaches Atemi Ryu Jujitsu, Krav Maga, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing and Tai Chi, serving Hanover, Henrico and Glen Allen as well as Richmond. Children train in Tae Kwon Do until they move up to the adult classes at 14, and the school also runs an after-school programme with school pickup, snack, supervised homework and a "Show Your Report Card" scheme, plus a full-day summer camp with field trips. It is led by Grand Master Jose Antonio Vazquez, named to the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame, who has trained for more than 35 years and holds a 10th Dan in Tae Kwon Do and a 9th Dan in Atemi Ryu Jujitsu.
