Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Chesapeake is a Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Center in Chesapeake, Virginia, teaching the standardised Gracie University curriculum rather than a curriculum of its own. Adults start in Gracie Combatives — the 36 core techniques across 23 one-hour lessons, followed by Reflex Development classes and a Gracie Combatives belt test — and continue into the Master Cycle from blue belt up. Children are banded as Mat Munchkins (3-5), Little Champs (5-7) and Jr. Grapplers (7-12) under Gracie Bullyproof, with Gracie Teens for 12-15, and women can train in Women Empowered, a women's self-defense programme taught by women. Students also get Gracie University online access to video of every technique in the curriculum.
