About Academy of Martial Arts

Academy of Martial Arts (AMA) in Oklahoma City was established in 2004 and trains everyone from newcomers wanting to stay in shape to competitors preparing for major MMA and grappling organisations. The weekly timetable runs Muay Thai boxing on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on Tuesday and Thursday, no-gi BJJ on Monday and Wednesday with a Sunday grappling open mat, and youth mixed martial arts for ages 5-17 on Tuesday and Thursday; there is also a women's BJJ class and kids' self-defense. AMA is a member of the Renato Tavares Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association, and head coach Kentrick Coleman is a certified Thai Boxing Association instructor under Arjan Parker and Grandmaster Chai Sirisute.
