About Murray's Martial Arts
Murray's Martial Arts in Greece, New York (Rochester area) has taught traditional Okinawan Isshin-Ryu Karate since 1981, in a curriculum passed down from Master Tatsuo Shimabuku through instructors taught by direct descendants of the style. Kids karate runs in three developmental stages - Fundamentals for ages 4-6 and 7-9, and traditional Isshin-Ryu with kata, kobudo weapons and point sparring for ages 10-15 - alongside adult fitness kickboxing for ages 16+, a full-day martial arts summer day camp and karate birthday parties. It is owned and led by Sensei Kasey Murray, who started training at age three under their father, 9th-degree black belt Grandmaster Kim Murray, and reports 500+ active students.
