About Ronin Martial Arts Academy
Ronin Martial Arts Academy in Rochester, NY teaches three linked systems: Goshin-Do Karate, BANG Muay Thai and Hayastan Grappling, a combat grappling system blending judo, jiu-jitsu, sambo and catch wrestling that is trained both gi and no-gi. Classes run five days a week for kids (Little Pups 5-7, Young Wolves 8-15), teens and adults, with private and competition-prep small-group training by appointment on Fridays and Saturdays, and select classes offering American Sign Language interpreter support. Founder and head coach Adam Tucker has over 20 years of experience, is a World Kickboxing Series U.S. National Champion and 2011 New York State No-Gi Absolute grappling champion, and trains directly under Gokor Chivichyan (Hayastan), Duane Ludwig (BANG Muay Thai) and Norman Yonkers (Goshin-Do).
