About Renzo Gracie Latham Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Renzo Gracie Latham, founded in 2005, calls itself the oldest and largest Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy in New York's Capital Region and says it has produced around 40 black belts. It is led by Professor Bruno Tostes, a 4th-degree black belt directly under Renzo Gracie, and co-led by Professor Rich Altieri, a 2nd-degree black belt under Tostes. The academy runs more than 45 adult gi and no-gi classes a week, a kids programme banded 3-6, 7-9 and 10-15, a women's programme, and a striking class blending Muay Thai, boxing and MMA striking under coach Bobby Fish.
