About Atlas Jiu Jitsu
Atlas Jiu Jitsu at 61 Colvin Ave in Albany, New York is the home academy of Edward Anthony, a 3rd-degree black belt under coral belt Julio 'Foca' Fernandez who began at the Renzo Gracie school in NYC training under John Danaher, and who also holds a judo brown belt under former Olympic hopeful Nick Kossor. He is an active competitor with multiple Pan American golds, National Championship titles and a World silver, has held the IBJJF world number one ranking in his division at purple, brown and black belt, and was ranked the world's number one gi light featherweight and, in 2022, number one no-gi featherweight in his division. Atlas has grown into a small network, with further academies in Glens Falls NY, Waltham MA and Buda TX, and teaches adults' and children's jiu-jitsu including a Tiny Titans kids' programme and a Kids Kick striking class.
