Sheridan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Vauxhall, NJ teaches adult and youth BJJ under founder and owner Professor Kevin Sheridan, a four-stripe black belt, with every adult class led by a black belt - the academy lists eight of them plus a brown belt, two purple belt youth instructors and four youth assistant coaches. Youth training is banded as Little Samurai (5-7), Junior (8-12) and Teen (13-16), and beginners are pointed at a 4-week beginner BJJ boot camp that runs four times a year. The school's stated approach is training twice a week for the long term - Sheridan earned his own black belt in nine years on that schedule.
