NJ United Mixed Martial Arts is on the third floor at 265 U.S. Route 46 in Totowa, New Jersey, owned and led by head instructor Jay Hayes, a third-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who has been teaching since 2005. The academy runs BJJ 101 fundamentals, mixed-levels and advanced gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai at beginner and advanced levels, MMA 101, and children's classes split into Ninjas (4-7) and Kids & Teens (8-14) for jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai and MMA, seven days a week from early morning to late evening. There is a competitor-focused curriculum alongside the fundamentals track, two weekly open mats for adult members, and a seven-day free trial for new students.
