About Carnicella MMA
Carnicella MMA & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on Colfax Ave in Clifton, New Jersey teaches BJJ, MMA, kickboxing and boxing to adults and children at beginner through advanced level. It was founded by black belt Paul Carnicella as an affiliate academy under Sensei Edson Carvalho, a national jiu-jitsu and judo champion from Team Carlson Gracie Sr. Carnicella is a Masters Mundials weight-division winner and a 2017 New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee who has cornered fighters into Bellator, the UFC, World Series of Fighting and Strikeforce; he is also a Newark police detective and the lead defensive-tactics instructor for the Essex County Police Academy.
