About Inner Strength Martial Arts

Inner Strength Martial Arts was founded in October 2009 by Professor Robert Mrotek, who had been president of the martial arts club at the University of Wisconsin-Superior and was urged by his training group to open a gym. It teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing, boxing, wrestling and MMA team training for adults, alongside kids' American Karate for ages 3-6 and 7+ and a bully prevention programme for ages 6 and up. The academy is an affiliate of Professor Chewy Ybarra of Ybarra Jiu-Jitsu in Modesto, California, a fifth-degree black belt under Master Cleber Luciano — the same master who promoted Professor Mrotek to black belt in 2016 — and Ybarra visits four times a year for seminars. Mrotek travels to Thailand several times a year to train and teach seminars.
