Owner and head instructor Cris Johnson began BJJ in 2005 under fourth-degree black belt Greg Nelson and was promoted to black belt in July 2018, having earlier earned a black belt in Song Moo Kwan karate. Brown belt Shawn Woodhull, who has trained with Johnson since 2006, teaches the no-gi classes. New students are offered a 30-day free trial.
