About Michigan Top Team
Michigan Top Team is an MMA and fitness gym on Telegraph Road in Southfield, Michigan, founded in 2013 by professional fighter Daron Cruickshank, a UFC veteran and Rizin fighter who still leads the competition team. Its classes are split into all-level introductory sessions, intermediate (six months' training or more) and invite-only pro classes for active competitors, covering no-gi jiu-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, wrestling, a Saturday women's club, Sunday judo, and Little Ninjas for ages 5-12. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu programme is one of four Detroit Jiu Jitsu Academy affiliate programmes, offers both gi and no-gi days with belt ranking for children and adults, and takes an anti-bullying approach in the kids classes. The gym operates a no-ego policy and also hosts children's birthday parties.
