About Commonwealth Jiu Jitsu

Commonwealth Jiu Jitsu (CMMNWLTH) is a Livonia, Michigan academy founded by black belts Daniel Leith and Andrew Slackta, both 2023 no-gi world champions at brown belt and IBJJF gold medallists. It runs adult and kids' jiu-jitsu, no-gi for all ages, Muay Thai under Bellator veteran Jason Fischer and a judo programme headed by Sensei Garcia, a former member of the Colombian national judo team, plus a dedicated competition class. The 6,000+ square foot facility has two separate mat areas so classes can run simultaneously, a fully stocked weight room free to members, locker rooms and four private showers, and the gym advertises no membership contracts, no hidden fees and no uniform policy.
