About Unity Jiu Jitsu Grand Rapids
Unity Jiu Jitsu Grand Rapids runs gi and no-gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu for adults and children on 28th Street SE, with a Little Kids class (3-7), Youth (7+), gi and no-gi kids competition classes, a Friday "Fun Friday" kids session, an adult fundamentals gi class for cleaning up the basics, a rolling-only no-gi session and a women's self-defense programme. Adults train beginners alongside advanced students. It is led by Jadyson Costa, a fourth-degree black belt promoted in 2007, current No-Gi World Champion and IBJJF category number one, two-time Pan champion and American National champion, and a former Chute Boxe MMA fighter who competed in Pride FC and was EFC Africa welterweight champion.
