About E3 Jiu-Jitsu
E3 Jiu-Jitsu at 7010 W 83rd Street in Overland Park, Kansas is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN 47-4465941) whose stated mission — embrace, empower, encourage — grew out of the Tietgen family's own experience of bullying and social anxiety, and which runs a scholarship fund for children and families in need. It is part of the Studio 76 Jiu-Jitsu team, and Studio 76's leaders Raul and Roberto Jimenez visit for two weeks every six months to review the academy's progress. Full-time head instructor Ariel Pereira, a first-degree Studio 76 black belt and professional MMA fighter from Guayaquil, Ecuador, leads all youth and adult classes, assisted by purple belt Charlie Tietgen and a dedicated fitness instructor who runs conditioning for the competition team.
