About The PIT Idaho
The PIT Idaho in Boise was founded in 2017 by Cruz Gomez, a 5th degree Hawaiian Kempo black belt under John Hackleman and Chuck Liddell and a 1st degree BJJ black belt under Luigi Mondelli of Kore Jiu-Jitsu and American Top Team, who fought professionally 31 times before retiring to coach. It teaches Hawaiian Kempo - the system Hackleman founded in 1985, whose lineage produced Chuck Liddell and Glover Teixeira - alongside Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing, with a focus rooted in self-defense and a fight team. Every coach is promoted from within and is CPR, Concussion in Sports and SafeSport trained and background-checked; the staff includes co-owner Sophie Gomez, BJJ black belt Josh Meachum, Dominick Stoff and Marine Corps veteran Baca.
