About Fighting Chance Fitness
Fighting Chance Fitness at 110 Cumberland Park Drive in Saint Johns, Florida is a family-run gym combining Brazilian jiu-jitsu with Muay Thai, yoga, a weight room and nutritional coaching, taking students from age five upward. Its BJJ programme covers self-defense, wrestling, sport and competitive grappling in gi and no-gi, plus Jane-Jitsu, a female-only class. It is run by the Synan family: head instructor Kevin Synan, a 2nd-degree black belt under coral belt Master Roberto Traven, with Christy Synan and Julian Synan both 1st-degree black belts from the same lineage. Tapout Magazine named it one of the best grappling teams in the country in 2010.
