About Jukido Jujutsu Dojo
The Jukido Jujutsu Dojo in West Hartford, Connecticut teaches Jukido Jujutsu — a traditional Japanese jujutsu style built on throws, joint manipulation, chokes and standing self-defense — plus Kokondo Karate, in adult and kids classes with self-defense workshops and private lessons. It is run by Robert Sensei, a Rokudan (6th-degree black belt) in both Jukido Jujutsu and Kokondo Karate who has trained without interruption since 1984 and was the last Rokudan awarded by Shihan Paul Arel before Arel's death in 2009. A monthly Open Dojo session lets members drill independently at no extra fee.
