About VIA Jiu Jitsu Academy
VIA Jiu Jitsu Academy is a 5,000 sq ft Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym at 333 Quarry Rd in Milford, Connecticut, established in 2026 by co-founders Kubi Demirhan and Matthew Franco. It runs gi and no-gi classes from fundamentals to advanced, kids BJJ split into ages 3-6 and 7-13 with an invite-only kids competition class after each session, a Judo for Jiu-Jitsu class, cardio kickboxing, yoga and mobility, a women's-only session and a Sunday open mat. The coaching staff is certified in the Officer Survival Series law enforcement curriculum, and the affiliated VIA Foundation, a 501(c)(3), funds free training for local youth and officers.
