About NAK Martial Arts Center

NAK Martial Arts Center in Gilbert, Arizona is built around Kajukenbo, the Hawaiian hybrid art, taught to adults (14+) four evenings a week with kids' classes banded as Little Tigers, Little Dragons (5-7) and Juniors (8-13), each split beginner and advanced. Alongside it the school runs Muay Thai-style fitness kickboxing five times a week, a women's self-defense programme, Saturday sparring and grappling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — juniors and adults on Friday evening and an all-ages class on Saturday — plus a Saturday morning open floor. Owner and head instructor Professor Sal Banuelos is a 9th-degree black belt with a background in tae kwon do, Shotokan karate and American boxing; the school was founded by Louis Banuelos, the number one rated fighter in Hawaii in 1995 and 1996.
