Richardson Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy at 2257 Cobbs Ford Road in Prattville, Alabama, running adult early-bird, fundamentals and advanced classes, a kids' programme for ages 7 and up, a Friday ladies' night and brunch/open-mat sessions. It was founded in February 2016 by owner and head instructor Rob Richardson, a second-degree black belt under Kurtis Taylor of Cobra BJJ Tuscaloosa who came to the art through the USAF Combatives Program at Maxwell AFB. Three of its four coaches are black belts promoted entirely within the school, and the gym alternates gi and no-gi weeks across its whole timetable.
