About The Compound Mixed Martial Arts Training Center
The Compound Mixed Martial Arts Training Center in Fairmont, WV has been open since 2017 as a family-friendly full-service fight training facility for ages 5 upward, offering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA and kickboxing with a Sunday BJJ open mat. Its BJJ program is led by black belt Professor Fred Frederick, training since October 2010, and the academy is a proud affiliate of 2nd degree black belt Professor Gene Smithson of Imperium BJJ and 8th degree coral belt Master Luiz Palhares. Evan "Tarzan" Lee - undefeated in kickboxing and a BJJ brown belt - and brown belt Chad Rector head the kickboxing program, Noel Soriano heads MMA with a 14-7 professional record, and blue belts Josh and Sam head the kids BJJ program. There are no long-term contracts.
