About SBG Vancouver
SBG Vancouver is the Vancouver, Washington academy of Straight Blast Gym, the international organisation founded by Matt Thornton — the first person from Oregon to earn a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt — which has run since 1992 and now has more than 50 locations worldwide. It teaches BJJ, MMA, self-defense and kids martial arts from age 4 through to adult classes for teenagers and senior citizens, from a newly built facility, using SBG's principle-based method rather than fixed technique curricula.
