About Bellingham BJJ
Bellingham BJJ is a 4,400 square foot, jiu-jitsu-only academy at 205 W. Holly Street in downtown Bellingham, Washington, run by owner and head instructor Jeff Shaw, a black belt under Royce Gracie black belt Seth Shamp. It runs roughly 35-40 gi and no-gi classes a week across fundamentals, advanced, takedowns, a Sunday no-gi/competition class, a kids' programme, women's and non-binary classes, defensive striking and a dedicated self-defence course, plus weekday Office Hours from 3-5pm where an instructor is on the mats to answer questions and cover missed material. Every white belt joins through a capped four-week Intro to BJJ course; blue belts and above can take a free trial week. All instructors are black or brown belts, with fourteen listed on staff.
