About Gracie Humaita Corpus Christi

Gracie Humaita Corpus Christi is a family-run Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy at 5702 S Staples St on the south side of Corpus Christi, established in 2016 when Master Dulciney Matos moved from Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro to open a school in Texas. It teaches gi and no-gi BJJ across a kids programme (ages 5-12), adults (13+), a women's-only class and private lessons, and offers military, law enforcement, first responder and family discounts. The academy is led by Master Matos, a 7th degree red-and-black belt, his son Professor João Gabriel Matos, and João's wife Professor Samantha Matos, who is the women's head coach.
