About Alliance Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
This Memphis academy trades on mgamemphis.com as Midtown Grappling Academy, at 584 Tillman St in the historic Midtown neighbourhood. It is led by Professor Alexandre Meadows, a third-degree black belt under Marcelo Garcia and a Rio de Janeiro native who opened the gym in 2016 after helping build other Memphis schools; he was the first Memphis grappler to win an IBJJF World title and remains an active competitor. The timetable runs three days of gi and two of no-gi with 5:30 am, 12:15 pm and 5:45 pm classes, plus a kids class at 5:30 pm deliberately scheduled so parents can train on the other half of the mat while their children train.
