About Hero Athletics

Hero Athletics is a no-gi-first Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai/kickboxing and MMA gym on Outlet Dr near Turkey Creek in West Knoxville, Tennessee, serving Hardin Valley and Farragut. It teaches no-gi grappling with wrestling integrated into the curriculum using an ecological, constraints-led method rather than dead drilling, alongside kickboxing, a kids' mixed martial arts class for ages 4-7 and 7-13, an MMA class and a Thursday homeschool group. Owner Shamir Peshewa, a professional fighter and Carjitsu women's champion, coaches alongside two black belts, Jason George and Chris Reiley.
