About Checkmat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Myrtle Beach
Checkmat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Myrtle Beach is an affiliate of the Checkmat team founded by Leo Vieira, based in Columbus Plaza on Wesley Street. All classes are taught by 3rd-degree black belt Leo Silveira, a sponsored athlete who has competed in 14 countries. Kids, teens and adults train in both gi and no-gi through the week, with children starting as early as six, and the competition team enters IBJJF, NAGA and Newbreed tournaments with kids, teens and adults competing every year. Private lessons with Silveira are available on request.
