About National Karate MMA
National Karate MMA West Ashley is a Charleston, South Carolina martial arts school run by Coach Nathan "Nate" Windsor, a 4th-degree black belt and former nationally sponsored sport-karate competitor who spent over ten years as a lead instructor at SMA before opening his own school. The curriculum is "American Free Style" — a blended system drawing on Taekwondo, boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Japanese karate and Israeli combat — taught in Lil Ninjas (4–5), Mighty Dragons (6–7), children's (8–12) and teens/adults classes. The school also runs an after-school pickup program and a summer camp, and holds a Monday open sparring night for all students with gear.
