About Stout PGH - Strip District
STOUT PGH's Strip District gym at 1719 Liberty Ave is the flagship of a four-location Pittsburgh school (Strip District, Zelienople North, Monroeville East, Bridgeville South) whose single membership covers all four. It teaches gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Intro to BJJ through advanced, Thai boxing, kickboxing and western boxing, MMA, kids classes from age 5, Anti Fragile self-defense and aerial silks. This site holds a floor ring and a sauna and is where the school's competitors train — the weekly timetable includes invitation-only competition practice, a women's-only no-gi class, a 40+ BJJ class and open mats almost every day. The school fields more instructors and black belts than any other in the region, with separate main and part-time rosters for jiu-jitsu, striking, MMA, kids, self-defense and aerial arts.
