About IOTA JIU JITSU ACADEMY
Iota Jiu Jitsu Academy at 1081 Greentree Road in Pittsburgh is run by black belt Cameron Chaffee, who began training in Philadelphia under Professor Brian Rago, moved into the academy to train full time and was promoted to black belt after eight years, then taught at Maracaba BJJ in Arizona under Professor Andre Maracaba - Rago's own first instructor - before returning to his native Pittsburgh with his wife Alvina to open this school. The academy offers gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu plus competition preparation and private lessons, in a brand-new facility with separate men's and women's changing rooms and showers, where all staff are CPR and First Aid certified. Chaffee's competition record includes multiple IBJJF international open golds at black belt in 2022 and 2024, an ADCC Phoenix open silver and a Fight 2 Win black belt superfight win.
