3 Elements BJJ and MMA in Erie, Pennsylvania was founded in 2005 by Marc Yates and has been owned since December 2014 by longtime students Tom and Brad Gardner. It teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, wrestling and kickboxing to everyone from children to professional MMA fighters, built around a philosophy of three foundational elements — escape, control and submission. Brad Gardner is the head BJJ instructor and a black belt, Jeremy Sakuta heads striking, and the school has been affiliated with the BJJ Revolution Team under Rodrigo Medeiros and Julio 'Foca' Fernandez since March 2016. Drop-in classes are available and visitors are made welcome.
