About Burning River Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Burning River Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Beachwood, Ohio runs adult fundamentals and advanced classes alongside Kids BJJ (ages 5-9) and Juniors BJJ (10 and up), with self-defense as an explicit part of the curriculum. It is owned and taught by Professor Ante Dzolic, a BJJ black belt with over 40 years in martial arts: he began in 1984 studying Kun Tao, Jeet Kune Do and systems from China, Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines and France, started jiu-jitsu in 1999 and was promoted to black belt in 2015. A former local police officer, he also founded the online course platform BJJ Basics and has released instructionals through BJJ Fanatics on armlock defenses, guard passing and self-defense.
