About American Top Team Asheville
American Top Team Asheville in Arden, NC is an affiliate of American Top Team, the camp that produced Dustin Poirier, Amanda Nunes, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Adriano Moraes. It teaches striking (boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and karate), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in gi, no-gi and women's classes, judo and wrestling to adults and kids. Classes are gated by rank - gi fundamentals needs one stripe, takedowns two, advanced three, and striking is tiered by patches - with a Saturday open mat from 10am to noon. Instructors include UFC veteran and BJJ black belt Steve Montgomery, BJJ and judo black belt Rusty Haun, and BJJ black belt Ryan Deleo; students have competed at Dana White's Contender Series and signed with ONE Championship.
