About OG Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
This Marrickville academy is part of ROOTS BJJ, founded in 2001 as the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym opened in Australia by a Brazilian black belt. Head coach Paulo Guimaraes is a 6th-degree black belt and the highest-ranked Brazilian black belt in Australia, a former close-combat instructor for the Brazilian Army's 5th Guard Company, founder of the NSW Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation and a BJJ World Cup champion. ROOTS runs kids, teens, women's and adult gi and no-gi programs, and every class is open as a free trial.
