About Sakura Warrior Arts

Sakura Warrior Arts is Missoula, Montana's oldest martial arts academy, teaching the Bushidokan system founded by Jim Harrison in 1964 and operating in Missoula since 1978. Its programme is split into grappling (Kodokan judo and jujutsu with catch wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu elements), Bushidokan karate/kickboxing striking, Ronin Goshin Jutsu self-defence, kids' classes from age six, Fighter's Interval Training conditioning and private lessons. The gym also runs group self-defence and handcuffing seminars for military police, security teams and bouncers, and has a traditional canvas tatami upstairs for judo throws with makiwara posts and heavy bags downstairs.
