About Cavalo BJJ
Cavalo BJJ has been locally owned and operated in Columbia, Missouri since 2010, when it was founded by third-degree black belt Zach Lenon, who began training in 2003 and was promoted by Francisco 'Kiko' France in 2010. The academy teaches adult fundamentals and all-levels classes in gi and no-gi, a youth programme split into three age bands (4-6, 7-10 and 11-16) and dedicated women's-only classes, with a coaching staff of two further black belts, three brown belts and a purple belt. It keeps class sizes small, runs open mats on the first Saturday of the month and on Sundays for members, and advertises no seminar fees, no promotion fees and no requirement to buy a school gi.
