About Start BJJ MN

Start BJJ MN is a small, locally owned martial arts gym on the second floor of Midtown Square Mall in St Cloud, Minnesota, owned by Brock Larson, a former UFC, WEC and ONE FC fighter and third degree black belt with over 20 years in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. It runs gi and no-gi BJJ from 6:30am through the evening, beginner gi classes, live rolling sessions, Muay Thai kickboxing, and an invite-only MMA program, with kids classes Monday to Thursday from age four and no upper age limit. Visitors can watch a class unannounced, and the gym advertises a family plan plus first responder and military discounts.

Paid $40 one-week trial with the uniform included. Prospective students can also simply turn up and WATCH any class with no need to call ahead, and are asked to arrive 15 minutes early for a first class. Wednesday evening kids and adult classes are advanced and not suitable as a first class.
