About Circle of Discipline Inc
Circle of Discipline is a Minneapolis nonprofit boxing gym and youth organisation founded in 1993 by Sankara Frazier, who began volunteering as an amateur boxing coach and built the Circle to serve young people in South Minneapolis. It is open Monday to Friday 3:00-8:00 PM and runs a youth class for ages 8-13 at 5:00 PM, a beginners class for 14 and up at 5:45 PM and an advanced class at 6:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Beyond boxing it delivers three core youth programmes - Lifestyles FIT, 360 Advocacy and the Pursuit of Discipline Group - plus Art of Sound music production, the D.R.I.V.E. career-planning programme and the Zero to 100 maker programme, and is almost entirely volunteer-run.
