About MKG Martial Arts - Edina

MKG Martial Arts Edina at 7119 Amundson Ave is the west-metro branch of the Minnesota Kali Group, the international martial arts organisation Guro Rick Faye founded in 1982; memberships are reciprocal between the Edina branch and MKG headquarters in Minneapolis. Alongside Brazilian jiu-jitsu it teaches Kali, Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Filipino boxing, boxing, Ghost Elusive Combat and an MKG Blend class, plus a youth programme for ages 7-14. Its BJJ lineage runs through Rick Faye's association with Professor John Machado from the 1990s and continues under Professor Chris McCune, who runs seminars at MKG four times a year.
