About Boxing Gym Cooper's
Cooper's Boxing Gym at 16849 West Warren Avenue in Detroit was established in 1972 and calls itself Detroit's longest-operating boxing and martial arts facility. It teaches nine disciplines — boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA, traditional Hapkido, self-defense, kids karate, defensive tactics and private training — plus professional boxing management, with every programme split into non-competitive and competitive tracks and separate courses for men, women, teens and children as well as co-ed adult classes. Boxing runs the full ladder from fitness classes through amateur development to professional fight camps, and the gym markets itself in English, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese to Metro Detroit's communities.
